ProField, the award-winning mobile workforce management technology used for smart metering deployments was created by Smart Grid Solutions, LLC (SGS). In 2016 SGS was acquired by Aclara and now operates under the Aclara name. Profield is the industry’s only integrated solution that eases the road to smart grid for water, gas and electric utilities by effectively managing AMI rollouts -- ensuring safety, reliability, on-time completion, and enhancing customer engagement. Aclara licenses ProField around the world and also uses the technology for managing its own meter replacement and network equipment installation services. 

 

The Sales Executive will be responsible for building and growing a sales pipeline and meeting or exceeding revenue goals. The activities required to meet these responsibilities include identifying and meeting with prospects, scoping opportunities, writing proposals, presenting to clients, creating pricing models, and closing sales.

Responsibilities

  • Learning our solutions in order to quickly become adept at independently representing our offerings to utility companies 
  • Analyzing the market in the assigned territory and developing sales/account plans to penetrate the market and/or to improve market participation.
  • Performing all activities in the sales cycle—generating leads, qualifying opportunities, educating customers, developing proposals, and leading sales meetings/presentations.
  • Promptly entering and maintaining all information about prospective and active customers (from initial contact to contract) in the CRM system.
  • Participating in contract negotiations with customers to ensure favorable terms and to close business.
  • Represent the company in a manner consistent with its core values. We take pride in our positive working environment and our team-based approach.
  • Maintaining positive client relationships through the term of the contract to ensure client satisfaction, account growth, new business acquisition, and ensuring customer loyalty through repeat business.
  • Supporting the development of marketing/sales strategy and marketing collateral.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree.
    • In lieu of the degree, 8 or more years of direct selling experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent will be considered.
  • 5+ years of solution selling experience with a track record of success
  • Experience managing a long sales cycle
  • Independent thinker: SGS offers its sales force the opportunity to work remotely, and take full ownership of the deals they work on.
  • Analytical thinker: A person that knows sales isn’t just making call after call, but having the ability to analyze the market you are assigned and developing a strategy to improve penetration and participation.
  • Adaptable: Every client is different, and our Sales Executives learn their solutions quickly to become adept at representing their Smart Grid offerings.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline.
