Aclara is looking for a client-first, operationally excellent, and strategically focused Product Management professional to join our organization and be based in South or Central America (preferred location is Chile).  As part of the product team, you will be responsible for driving the success, growth, and client satisfaction of our products. A successful candidate must be a dynamic self-starter, with a unique combination of outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, analytical skills including financial and business modeling, creative and innovative mindset oriented to identifying, developing and integrating technology with partners, and have a passion for technology and the client experience.


To be successful this person will drive New Product Initiatives (NPI) and work in conjunction with Sales and P&L leaders across the region.



  • NPI
    • Consolidate Product specific VOC for their Region and coordinate with Product Managers
    • Assist Sales in translating NPI requirements (e.g. resources, partners, comm ops, training, etc.) to actions necessary to support growth, both direct and indirect sales
    • Provide input into marketing budget required to localize the commercial launch of the NPI.
    • Develop & consolidate regional Business Case
    • Own Commercial launch package within Region (including Tradeshows, & regional events)
  • Variable Compensation
    • Recommend potential changes to VC Plans for their product
  • Go-to-market planning
    • Develop, with the Regional Sales Leader, specific go to market strategy by pole, country and product (e.g. segmentation)
    • Programs to support all channels to market (direct & indirect)
  • Competitor Analysis
    • Provide ongoing feedback to Marketing/P&L on specific region competitive actions
  • Partner with the RSL to execute vertical action plan within pole
  • Ideal profiles for Channel Partners and Direct Sales
  • Own regional growth play book
  • OTR
    • Ensures full OTR capabilities are available in the pole to support the business plan, including strategic partnerships.


Additional Responsibilities:


  • Pipeline Management
    • Own coordination of Orders forecasting between Region and P&L
    • Coordinate with Sales to identify targeted pipeline
    • Identify gaps between Region SAS and Region pipeline and develop action plans (e.g. target customers, target competitors, pricing needs, etc.)
  • Work with the Sale and P&L on process and metric improvement plans
  • Implement metrics for forecasting accuracy and implement actions to improve
  • Develop and execute P&L business plan for the region and lead/facilitate the execution of strategy.
  • Execute the annual sales strategy for the Product Line(s)
  • Price and mix targets within P&L to achieve expected contribution margins from respective Product Line(s).
  • Quick market intelligence action planning resolution
  • Consolidate Pole VOC and develop action plan
  • Participate in Key Account and Opportunity reviews
  • OTR
    • P&L representative for OTR issues impacting customer satisfaction in the region and help drive resolution
    • Own project deployment and issue resolution



  • Bachelor’s or higher level degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related technical field is required.
  • In lieu of the BS degree, a Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related technical field with 2 years of experience as a product manager will be considered equivalent. 
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Product Manager, with demonstrated success defining technical products is required. 
  • Candidates must have advanced written and verbal communication skills, previous experience working on a team with engineers, sales, and customers, influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority, performing market research and collecting competitive information, and developing and monitoring a product roadmap. 
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.


  • MBA.
  • Fluent in Portuguese
  • Experience with RF Networks and software development.
  • Direct experience with electric utility metering systems and operation.
