Responsibilities

  • Responsible for  creation of propagation studies for the Aclara network deployments
  • Performs geospatial data analysis resulting in maps, applications, reports and/or models.
  • Provide advanced analysis of the Aclara networks using multiple GIS tools
  • Produce maps and other graphics with a spatial component to fulfill internal or external customer requirements
  • Provide support, and training for other Aclara employees in the use of GIS
  • Write software applications associated with mapping, data collection and report generation
  • Conduct virtual site surveys

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s or higher level degree in Geography, Computer Science and/or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in a GIS environment
  • Advanced experience with ESRI ArcGIS desktop suite and other ESRI products
  • Advanced experience with RF planning software suites (EDX)
  • Google Earth/Maps
  • Advanced cartography skills
  • Advanced knowledge of coordinate systems (longitude/latitude)
  • Understanding of statistical analysis principles

 

PREFERRED:

  • Master’s Degree in Geography or Computer Science
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Programming skills (JAVA, R, Python, HTML)
  • Understanding of RF properties and link budgets
