Aclara is offering a paid Co-op opportunity for the 2017 Fall Semester to students pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field. Interns will work closely with our software development team to deliver strategic software initiatives for our customers. We are looking for students who are self-motivated, reliable and excited about the opportunity to work with innovative, cloud based web applications. You will gain valuable hands-on experience and have the chance to learn in an advanced and fast paced environment!


This temporary intern position is for our Fall 2017 Co-op program. Hours can be part-time or full-time. Located in Somersworth, NH


  • Root cause and develop solutions for electricity meter firmware defects.
  • Help develop proof-of-concept firmware for upcoming program.
  • Improve automated firmware test processes.
  • Help prepare for engineering design reviews.


  • Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science Major
  • Strong C programming skills


  • Embedded firmware development experience
  • Experience with Development & Debugging Tools such as emulators and simulators
  • Basic understanding of electrical power quantities (e.g. watts, vars)
  • Python programming
