Overview

 

Aclara is offering paid internship opportunities to students pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field. Interns will work closely with our software development team to deliver strategic software initiatives for our customers. We are looking for students who are self-motivated, reliable and excited about the opportunity to work with innovative, cloud based web applications. You will gain valuable hands-on experience and have the chance to learn in an innovative environment!

 

 

The Validation Engineering Intern will assist engineers and technicians by developing, planning, setting up, executing, and documenting hardware and software tests associated with the Electric Meters product line.

 

This  temporary intern position is for our 
Fall 2017 Co-op program working either part-time or full-time hours in Somersworth, NH
 

Responsibilities

 

  • Setup test environment
  • Execute test plans
  • Document test results

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Research meter specifications
  • Retest product used for testing and dispose of defective product
  • Update test environment with new equipment
  • Participate in test case review meetings
  • Participate in departmental meetings
  • Organize lab areas

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Currently enrolled in college pursuing a technical degree (electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, IT, etc.) as a sophomore or higher
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Quick learner
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Word required
  • Knowledge of programming principles, Database, C++, C#, Java, XML, Python, etc preferred
  • Prior testing experience a plus

 

 

 

Physical Demands:

  • Able to work in a standard office environment (sit for prolonged periods)
  • Able to work in an engineering lab environment (stand for prolonged periods)
