As the leader of smart infrastructure solutions (SIS) to water, gas, and electric utilities globally. Aclara SIS offerings include smart meters and other field devices, advanced metering infrastructure and software and services that enable utilities to predict and respond to conditions, leverage their distribution networks effectively and engage with their customers. 


The Senior Supply Chain Planner drives product planning to meet business, revenue and inventory objectives. This position works across multiple organizations to understand customer demand and forecast, translating into supplier requirement plans. Responsible for recommending and implementing process improvements through strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. 


  • Review Open Sales and Forecast demand to insure requirements are allocated to appropriate suppliers.
  • Review exception reports to ensure proper allocation of sales order demand.
  • Monitor on-hand inventory levels and provide order recommendations accordingly.
  • Generate Purchase Orders based on agreed to forecast requirement.
  • Manage report generation including performance metrics publication and analysis.
  • Serves as the liaison between Program Managers and external Suppliers regarding expediting and priority issues.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Planning Manager to understand Aclara’s DRP planning tool for AMI requirements.
  • Conducts analyses and prepares various weekly and monthly reports. Assist in the monthly S&OP reports.
  • Work with CM by the third business day of each month to develop the monthly attainment for weekly supply to support monthly PO’s.
  • Conduct a weekly review of the attainment with the contract manufacturer.
  • Monitor Supplier production schedules to ensure customer order on time shipments, timely communication of issues and pull in opportunities.
  • Develop product knowledge to understand change dynamics and the effect to job responsibilities, such as PO, SO and rolling changes.
  • Serve as a liaison for any Aclara driven JDE systemic changes; understand impact on the Operations process.
  • Update all required fields for STL OPS once PNAF Admin releases PNAF. Serve as Solon OPS back up as needed.



  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or supply chain operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience of hands-on material planning, procurement and supply planning in the electronic industry, supporting electronic sub-contractors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while adhering to deadlines. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a broad understanding of manufacturing operations, logistics and warehousing.
  • Minumum of 15% travel.


  • Electronic manufacturing.
  • APICS Certification.
  • JDEdwards system or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with contract manufacturer.
